The Synod of Living Waters is a Mid-Council of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is formed from the Presbyterian Churches found in the four state area of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky as well as parts of Arkansas and Missouri. Named for the abundance of water resources found in the region, the Synod is comprised of twelve presbyteries. Devoted to Jesus Christ, we seek to help congregations and ministries thrive in worship and mission.
The Presbytery of East Tennessee is a regional governing council of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The presbytery is responsible for the government of the church throughout its district, and for assisting and supporting the witness of congregations to the sovereign activity of God in the world, so that all congregations become communities of faith, hope, love, and witness.
