Synod of Living Waters

The Synod of Living Waters is a Mid-Council of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is formed from the Presbyterian Churches found in the four state area of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky as well as parts of Arkansas and Missouri. Named for the abundance of water resources found in the region, the Synod is comprised of twelve presbyteries. Devoted to Jesus Christ, we seek to help congregations and ministries thrive in worship and mission. 

Presbytery of East Tennessee


The Presbytery of East Tennessee is a regional governing council of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  The presbytery is responsible for the government of the church throughout its district, and for assisting and supporting the witness of congregations to the sovereign activity of God in the world, so that all congregations become communities of faith, hope, love, and witness.

John Knox Center is a refuge in the heart of the Presbytery of East Tennessee set apart to nurture, renew, and inspire a love for God and commitment to Christ.

Maryville College

Maryville College is ideally situated in Maryville, Tennessee, between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Knoxville, the state's third largest city. Known for offering its students a rigorous and highly personal experience, Maryville College is a nationally ranked institution of higher learning that successfully joins the liberal arts and professional preparation in partnership with others. Founded in 1819, Maryville is the 12th oldest college in the South and maintains an affiliation with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
